The project is presented in the nomination "Science and Technology"
A project from Yakutia — the Russian-Evenk automatic translator AYANA from entrepreneur Nikolai Aprosimov became a contender for the "Made in Russia - 2023" award in the "Science and Technology" nomination. This is reported on the website of "Snob".
The AYANA translator was created to preserve the Evenk language. In addition to the main translation function, an online radio station of Evenk songs and podcasts is built into the mobile application, the publication noted.
The world's first platform for a robotic voice translator from Russian to Evenk was created in February 2021.
Today, the application is able to communicate with the user at the level of conversation, show pictures during communication and tell Evenki fairy tales. By December 2022, 17,454 words had been uploaded to the AYANA database.
Recall that according to the model of the AYANA mobile application, five new translators for the Nenets, Nganasan, Enets, Dolgan and Even languages are in development.
